Frequently asked questions
Good to know before your visit
The questions we are asked most often on the phone. Everything else we are happy to clarify in person.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with a dermatologist in Austria. Bring your e-card (Austrian insurance card) or, for EU visitors, your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
I am visiting from abroad – can I be seen?
Yes. Holiday guests are welcome, and urgent skin problems (sunburn, allergic reactions, infected wounds, tick bites) are fitted in at short notice. Visitors without EU insurance receive an itemised invoice for their travel insurance.
How do I book an appointment?
Please call +43 (0)6582 70005 during our telephone hours or e-mail ordination@dr-triendl.at. We deliberately book by phone rather than online, so we can judge how urgent your concern is and find the right slot.
Do you offer private and aesthetic treatments?
Yes. Alongside the public-insurance practice we offer private and self-pay services – aesthetic dermatology, laser treatments and medical skincare – in dedicated appointment slots outside regular insurance hours.
How long is the wait for a mole check?
Because of high demand, routine mole checks are currently booked about three to four months ahead. If a mole has changed and worries you, you will of course get an appointment at short notice.
We are here for your skin.
Call us during telephone hours or send an e-mail – we reply reliably. Directions and parking: see the contact page (German).
